This blog is dedicated to my journey from my relapse with Leukemia through an umbilical cord blood transplant. And has now transformed into a blog of raves and rants, with ants in my pants...totally live, and always fresh and nude.

26. Do someone a favor...give them JJ's blog address...it will put their life into perspective
JJ: I saw your post on brucespringsteen.net and took #26 above to heart.
As thrilled as I am to know you got to have some time with Bruce in MN, I also want you to know his whole community of fans are a very caring bunch of people. They helped me through a bad time. And I'm hoping they'll come here to offer you their support.
I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. And I'll keep checking in here to see how you're doing.
All the best to you - MadisonMel
JJ, I don't really know you but only through your blog linked through my friend Stacy. It seems that more people around me are getting cancer, is this just a part of growing up? This past week a friend of mine was diagnosed with a throat cancer. He's in the hospital this week after a surgical procedure and cannot talk. He is so sad. When I was 8 I ruptured my spleen and died in a VW bug on the way to the hospital. I woke up remembering nothing but there was a boy I could see from inside my plastic hospital tent. He would put the pages of his crayon drawings on the outside of the clear plastic. It was the only thing that kept me from wanting to go away, soon he went away, I left the tent and found out he died from his chemotherapy. I tell this story only because it has had a profound impact on my life. Someone I barely knew who took care of me, gave me a connection to the world outside of my own. Ultimately becoming one of the greatest influences in my life and how I live. I became an artist because of this and I'm still trying to connect with people today. Chris
jj: Read about your great evening in the "Politics" section of bruce's discussion board - AWESOME! Keep on fighting - we're all praying for you, too! And, keep on rockin'! --azpaull
JJ - I, too, heard about you through Stacy. I, too, am a huge Springsteen fan. His songs are my life's soundtrack, thanks to my parents, one of whom is beginning chemo this week.
I can't wait to read about your experience with Bruce...the set list was incredible, right?! Wow. Be sure to tell us your favorite song of the evening!
JJ you have more than accomplished #25 on your list for me.
Thanks for the heavy dose of perspective and inspiration this world needs some time.
J.J.: What a great show it must have been! THAT is a set list. : )
